تُعَدّ مكتبة العلامة الشيخ بدر الدين الحسني إحدى المكتبات الخاصة المشهورة في أوساط العلماء بدمشق، ضمَّت عدداً من نوادر الكتب الخطية، وقد ذكرها عدد من الكتّاب والمؤرّخين وأشادوا بها ومدحوها، وقد انتقلت بالإرث إلى الأبناء ثم الأحفاد؛ ثم انتقل قسم منها إلى المكتبة الظاهرية ومجمع اللغة العربية.
Research Summary
Sheikh Bader al-Din al-Hasani was one of the greatest ulema of Damascus during the early years of the 20th Century. His private library in Damascus includes a number of rare books and manuscripts, often cited by scholars of contemporary Islam and the modern Middle East. Its ownership has inherited by his children and grandchildren, while many of his manuscripts and books found their way to the al-Zahiryeh Library and the Arabic Language Assembly in Damascus.
